Bhushi Dam

A masonry dam on the Indrayani River in Lonavala, Bhushi Dam dates back to the late 1860s. It was built to serve the Great Indian Peninsular Railway to power their steam engines. It is a serene place to unwind at as splashes of water drench you!

Tiger's Leap/ Tiger's Point

Offering a panoramic view of the city, Tiger's Leap is a cliff-top with a sheer drop of over 650 m. According to a popular belief, the Maratha warrior, Shivaji dived into a ditch on the hill and the tiger chasing him plunged into the valley, giving it the name “Tiger's Leap”. There’s also an ephemeral waterfall around this point.

Kalra Caves

A complex maze of Buddhist cave shrines dating back to 3rd & 2nd century B.C., they draw tourists, pilgrims and students of history from different parts of India. They also house a temple of Goddess Ekvira Devi. These caves are impressive specimens of the craftsmanship of the Buddhist monks who lived here.

Lohagad Fort
