Carved from a single rock, Pataleshwar Cave Temple is a heritage site in Pune City. Constructed in the Rashtrakuta period, this temple dates back to 8th Century. It houses an idol of Lord Shiva and is made out of a basalt rock with miniatures drawn all over the walls.

DAGDUSHETH GANPATI TEMPLE

Boasting a significant history of 100 years, Shreemant Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple is a treat for the eyes because of its magnificent marble structure. Made out of gold, the Ganesha idol of this shrine is approximately 7 feet tall. During the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, the temple is adorned with lights and flowers, making it a worth visiting shrine in the city.

SARAS BAUG

Saras Baug, a picturesque garden, is one of the serene spots of the city. Spreading over an expansive area of 25 acres, Saras Baug attracts the residents offering a calm evening. The main highlight of this garden is a temple dating back to 18th century. The temple is known as Talyatla Ganpati, housing the idol of Lord Ganesh.

RAJIV GANDHI ZOOLOGICAL PARK

Sprawling over a vast area of 130 acres, Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park is a prominent zoo in the city of Pune. Branched into three zones – a snake park, an animal orphanage and a zoo, this zoological park features species such as King Cobra, Sloth Bears, Barking Deer, Black Bucks and many more. The zoo also has a 40 acres lake named Katraj Lake.
