Things To Do In Agra
Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is the most famous monument in Agra. It is considered to be the mausoleum of Shah Jahan’s favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal and is one of the New Seven Wonders of the world. It is also a world heritage site.
Agra Fort
The city has 3 major world heritage sites, and this is the second after Taj Mahal. The monument is also called red fort and a stone tablet at the fort’s gate also states that it was built before 1000 but was later renovated by Akbar.

The tomb, which is also called Baby Taj is a replica of the world heritage site, because the empress Nur Jahan created this in memory of her loving father and mother. The tombs of the two are side-by-side, just like Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal in Taj Mahal.
Akbar's tomb
The tomb, which was created by Akbar, is a Turkic custom where the person decides about his place of burial and builds the same during his lifetime. It was completed in 1613 and is beautifully carved with red-ochre sandstone consisting of deers, rabbits and langurs and is set amidst a lush garden.
